Statement from Patrycja Swiatkowska: "I often struggle with putting my feelings into words so I always aim for my work to express how I feel. I use art to show the people important to me that I care about them by creating work that they are the subject of to let them see how I view them, which can sometimes be daunting because I don’t want to show them in the wrong way but even the act of putting effort into a work about someone I feel strongly connected to helps to show my feelings. Most of my work is done with pencils and paint however I also occasionally dabble in collage, installation, and sculpture and I try to make each work personal."
