Volume 3 Issue 1: Origins
Love Letter to the Asteroid That Killed the Dinosaurs
I think I’m jealous of you
how you loved something
enough to destroy it
pterodactyls drift on angel wings / smoke halos
you saved them from here
from hunting and hunted and
dandelion springtime
my bones are their fossils / are decay.
I’m sure that they were grateful;
salvation is coral colored destruction
and it doesn’t come often.
I was wondering if maybe
you’d like to stop by again
I know it’s been a while
but the earth is bleeding rivulets of ash
and she misses your kamikaze adoration,
prays for deliverance
from the writhing masses
extinction can be a holy thing / amen.
